I always wondered what the honeymoon phase actually is. The term 'honeymoon phase' is usually used to describe the stage in a romantic relationship when the couple is so in love with each other and so happy to be together that nothing else matters. They don't fight, everything is perfect and love is in the air. Now, calling it the honeymoon phase suggests that this stage usually starts during the couple's honeymoon, right after they get married, probably because the honeymoon is a vacation and the couple is away from real life and all its problems.

I disagree with that suggestion, and I think the honeymoon phase starts way before that, around the sixth or seventh month of the relationship. Maybe there was a time when after six months of dating the couple was actually married and on their honeymoon, but that is usually not the case in modern days. So although the honeymoon itself is very romantic, I feel like the relationship then is much more grounded and mature than how it is in the 'honeymoon phase'.
